Job Description

Strategic Risk Solutions Inc. (SRS), the world’s largest independent insurance company manager, is growing and looking for an Underwriting Assistant to join Elevate – our division that administers Workers Compensation coverage solutions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Review of current insured submission material for accuracy and completion
• Input data from insurance submissions into internal model
• Verify and ensure data input is accurate and timely during the file preparation and uploading of documents
• Identify any discrepancies or missing information and report them to the proper individuals
• Interact, answer questions, and respond to requests from insurance broker partners
• Prepare quotes and proposals
• General support to program manager / salesperson
• Ensures adherence to company policies, guidelines, industry regulations, and compliance standards

Attributes and Skills

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs
• Knowledge of Insurance industry a plus
• Ability to work well in teams and comfortable communicating with all levels of the organization
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to write professional correspondence
• Attention to detail and analytical skills are a must
