Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Trust and Estates Paralegal to support attorneys and clients in managing complex estate and trust administration matters across the DC, Maryland, and Virginia regions.

Job Overview
As a Trust and Estates Paralegal, you will play a key role in assisting attorneys with the preparation, management, and filing of important documents and paperwork related to estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters. You will work closely with clients and professionals, offering support in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities
Draft, edit, and review essential probate and estate administration documents, including petitions for probate, inventories, accountings, and tax returns.
Manage trust administration tasks such as accountings and filing fiduciary income tax returns.
Engage with clients via in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, and video conferencing.
Gather and organize detailed information about the assets and debts of estates and trusts.
Prepare and organize financial records for estate tax returns and audits.
Prepare, review, and edit estate tax returns.
Draft accountings and settlement papers for both informal and formal estate and trust settlements.

Qualifications
3-5 years of experience as a Trust and Estate Paralegal with expertise in fiduciary accountings and tax preparation.
Notary license (MD preferred).
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently while maintaining attention to detail.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
A high level of discretion and sensitivity when handling confidential information.
Willingness to work outside of normal business hours, when necessary, to meet client needs.
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $ 80,000.00 120,000.00 Per Year
