As a Shift Supervisor - Refinery you will…

• Establish, reinforce, and support a safe working environment by ensuring compliance with all relevant EHS regulations and procedures/policies.
  
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  
• Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise individual performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems.
  
• Set goals and objectives of the operations staff of the area.
  
• Direct and coordinate activities concerned with production of company product(s) by performing the duties personally and/or through subordinates.
  
• Confer with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards
  
• Plan and direct production activities and establish production priorities for products.
  
• Coordinate production activities with purchasing, maintenance, and quality to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment.
  
• Review and analyze production, quality control, and maintenance activities.
  
• Implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
  
• Assist in revising production schedules and priorities because of equipment failure or operating problems.
  Consult with engineering personnel.
• Must be able to work day or night 12 hour shift
  Serve as a highly trained member of the site Emergency Response Team (ERT) and qualify as a Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (Hazwoper) Technician, basic first aider, and Incident Commander (IC). Attending Fire School and serving as part of the site Fire Brigade is not required, but recommended.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of experience within a manufacturing environment or 1 year of experience in a supervisory/leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
  
• Solid experience managing large groups of operators.
  
• Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus.
  
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills and excellent math skills.
  Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others.

The competitive Pay Range for this role is $75,000.00 - $90,000.00. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factor permitted by law.
