Job Description

We are a family owned construction company that specializes in the design, custom fabrication, and installation of a wide range of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning projects.

Position Overview: The Sheet Metal Fabricator will be responsible for fabricating, assembling and installing sheet metal products and components for various HVAC systems. This role requires a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication techniques and experience working with HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Foreman or Journeyman in the HVAC industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and other specifications to determine project requirements
• Measure and mark sheet metal according to drawings and specifications
• Cut, shape and bend sheet metal using various tools and equipment
• Assemble and join sheet metal parts using welding, soldering, and riveting techniques
• Install and fit sheet metal components into HVAC systems
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and standards
• Collaborate with other tradespeople such as Pipefitters to complete projects
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Report any issues or concerns to the project Foreman

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years experience in sheet metal fabrication
• Experience working with HVAC systems
• Previous experience as a Foreman or Journeyman in the HVAC industry preferred
• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficient in using various tools and equipment for sheet metal fabrication
• Basic understanding of welding, soldering, and riveting techniques
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce high quality work
• Good physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
