Position Overview:

Xico Lighting is seeking a Project Engineer to support our growing portfolio of lighting projects. This role will act as the technical bridge between customer project requirements and internal production, ensuring seamless execution from design to manufacturing. The ideal candidate will be skilled in creating shop drawings, layouts, and technical documentation while collaborating with sales, design, and production teams to bring lighting concepts to life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop shop drawings, layouts, and technical schematics for projects utilizing Xico Lighting fixtures.
• Review architectural and electrical plans to determine appropriate fixture placement, compatibility, and customization requirements.
• Collaborate with sales, design, and production teams to translate customer needs into manufacturable lighting solutions.
• Act as a technical liaison between clients, contractors, and internal departments, addressing project-specific requirements and challenges.
• Assist in project coordination, including bill of materials (BOM) preparation, specifications, and compliance with industry standards.
• Work closely with manufacturing to ensure feasibility of designs and optimize production efficiency.
• Provide technical support to customers, specifiers, and installers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain project documentation, revision control, and ensure adherence to timelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural) or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in project engineering, product design, or technical support within the lighting, architecture, or construction industries.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or similar) for creating technical drawings and layouts.
• Strong understanding of lighting systems, photometrics, and electrical specifications.
• Familiarity with building codes, lighting standards (IES, UL, DLC), and architectural integration is a plus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, technical environment.
