Mechanical Design Engineer I – Houston, TX

Kelaca is hiring a Mechanical Design Engineer I for our client in Houston, Texas .

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage technical drawings, schematics, and documentation to support sales, manufacturing, and engineering.
• Perform calculations and material selection to ensure compliance with QA and customer requirements.
• Maintain and update ISO, ASME, API, and other QA standards .
• Conduct simulations and validations for design accuracy.
• Oversee drawing/design database and ensure compliance before shipment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1-3 years of mechanical design experience (internships count).
• CSWP Certification (must be obtained within 3 months of hire).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint) .
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills .

Preferred:

• Knowledge of ASME, ISO, and API compliance .
• Experience with manufacturing processes .
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (2016+) .

Full-time | Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM | Exempt
