Job Description

**CTG is seeking to fill a Lead Drupal Architect - Digital Commerce opening for our client.** **Location:** Remote **Duration:** Ongoing Contract **Duties:** + Lead the design and architecture of complex Drupal-based digital commerce solutions with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability + Drive best practices in Drupal development across multiple teams + Develop custom Drupal modules and themes in accordance with project requirements + Maintain and optimize existing Drupal websites, ensuring high availability and optimal performance + Conduct comprehensive site audits and recommend technical improvements + Oversee DevOps activities related to deployment, server administration, and CI/CD pipelines + Optimize search functionality using tools like Solr, Elasticsearch, or Drupal Core Search + Analyze and measure site performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance enhancements + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical solutions align with business goals + Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership + Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the team and broader Drupal community **Skills:** + Expertise in Drupal architecture and development, including custom module and theme development + Strong understanding of partially decoupled Drupal implementations + In-depth knowledge of Drupal caching strategies (e.g., Varnish, Memcached, DPC) + Experience with DevOps, including Linux server administration and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Acquia) + Proficiency in implementing and optimizing website search technologies (Solr, Elasticsearch) + Familiarity with performance monitoring tools and methodologies + Excellent documentation and communication skills + Awareness of latest Drupal trends and community contributions + Additional knowledge in Java and SQL is a plus **Experience:** + Extensive hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining Drupal web applications + Proven track record in leading complex Drupal projects + Experience in DevOps and cloud-based infrastructure management + Demonstrated success in mentoring teams and establishing development best practices **Education:** + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $ 132,000 to $ 139,000 annually. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
