**The Opportunity**
We're excited to welcome a West Coast Key Account Director to our elite brokerage team! As a founding member of our new sales management division, you'll have significant growth opportunities and increased compensation. We're building "the avengers" of CPG sales, so if you're an A-Player committed to performing at the highest level, we want you!
**Your Role**
- **Key Account Management:** Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, category managers, and buyers at major retailers across California, including Gelson's, Mother's, Lassen's, Bristol Farms, and more.
- **Retailer & Distributor Relationships:** Leverage your existing relationships and build new ones with buyers, category managers, and distributor contacts like UNFI.
- **Distribution Expansion & New Opportunities:** Identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand product distribution and develop new market opportunities.
- **New Product Submissions & Buyer Approvals:** Facilitate the introduction of new products into retail assortments and secure buyer approvals for new lines/SKUs.
- **Reporting & Data Analysis:** Generate insightful reports on sales performance, in-store promotions, and stock levels. Provide actionable insights to brand partners.
- **Promotional Planning & Strategy:** Develop and execute strategic promotional plans for key brand partners in collaboration with retailers.
- **Industry Monitoring:** Stay updated on competitors' activities and category trends.
- **Forecasting & Reporting:** Work with brand partners and retailers to align product availability with promotional calendars.
- **Issue Resolution & Continuous Improvement:** Address challenges, improve effectiveness, and enhance service to our principals.
- **Category Management & Shopper Marketing:** Analyze market trends and collaborate with our management team for brand partners within key accounts.
- **Leadership:** Within about a year, lead a larger group on the account management team.
**What You'll Bring**
- 10+ years of experience in the food and beverage industry, with a strong understanding of the retail landscape.
- Proven experience in key account management, distributor management (preferably UNFI), and data analysis.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in digital marketing platforms and data analysis tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for building relationships.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to travel as required.
