Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Transportation Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this entry-level role, you will support the planning, analysis, and optimization of transportation operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a passion for transportation systems, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis: Collect, organize, and analyze transportation data to support decision-making and improve operational efficiency. Utilize software tools to interpret data trends and patterns.
Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports on transportation metrics, including performance indicators, cost analysis, and route optimization. Assist in the development of visualizations and dashboards.
System Support: Assist in the management and maintenance of transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software. Ensure data accuracy and system functionality.
Research: Conduct research on transportation trends, technologies, and regulations. Provide recommendations based on findings to support strategic planning and process improvements.
Collaboration: Work closely with senior analysts, logistics teams, and other departments to identify and address transportation-related issues and opportunities.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of transportation activities, including shipment logs, carrier contracts, and compliance documents.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
Experience: 0-2 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or a related analytical role. Internships or relevant coursework can be considered.
Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau) is preferred.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting.
Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various stakeholders.
