Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Perform electrical engineering assignments under direct supervision with discretion to work detail.
- Perform engineering analysis on electrical systems
- Responsible for leading Hydra Rig in electrical innovation and standardization
- Design and select electrical circuits, assemblies, and installations to meet customer requirements.
- Aids sales when writing sales specifications to meet customer needs.
- When Required attends contract reviews.
- Works with Project Engineer to maintain project budget.
- Reviews all customer order revisions and executes revisions in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all work performed is engineered in accordance with Hydra Rig's standard engineering practices and customer specifications
- Document all changes to electrical schematics prior to shipment and assist the Technical Publications personnel with technical content for operations manuals.
- Act as liaison between other departments when necessary to ensure the success of the project.
- Refer all problems beyond scope of responsibilities to direct supervisor.
- Follow the engineering department rules and procedures.
- Responsible to follow all applicable company and corporate policies, procedures and programs, including but not limited to the process map, support processes, safety and environmental requirements.
- All other duties and associated tasks as assigned to help meet or exceed the customer expectations and company goals.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 2+ Years of Electrical design and/or troubleshooting in heavy machinery preferred.
- Good communication skills
- Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD/ SolidWorks is desirable but not mandatory.
- Have knowledge of standard manufacturing processes and practices.
