This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. 

 

This position within the Marketing Services will lead the team responsible for supplier strategy and print production for all NYLD direct mail execution. The position will manage the overall print supplier pool working with Corporate Procurement, ensure that NYLD has extensive printing capabilities under contract that can be accessed for competitive bidding, redundancy, and quality.

This position requires the individual to bring leadership abilities, decisive decision-making skills, problem solving skills, ability to manage to strict deadlines, and strategic acumen to contribute to the success and shaping of our organization. As a key player in this dynamic role, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of driving strategic initiatives, executing revenue-producing mail campaigns, timely decision making and problem solving, budget management including annuals plans, monthly invoicing and reconciliation, expense forecasts, and all postage and postal optimization. The individual will have excellent attention to detail and superior judgement to make the right calls under tight deadlines. The individual will also possess exceptional negotiating skills applied with internal partners and external vendors to achieve organizational goals.

The CVP will be responsible for setting quality standards for direct mail production and working with outside production agency on continuous processes improvements.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Make decisions on supplier selection.
• Manage team, conduct performance reviews, and hire new staff, as necessary.
• Manage relationships with suppliers; staying up to date with supplier capabilities.
• Vet new suppliers to always assure the best technology and processes are being utilized for efficient print production.
• Benchmark pricing within industry.
• Provide leadership and recommendations in supplier pricing and selection.
• Review and approve invoices, as needed.
• Conduct site visits at suppliers, as necessary, and build partnerships with suppliers that will provide NYLD ample supply of resources for production with excellent quality at a competitive price.
• Approve direct mail format library strategy, developing standards and ensuring team and departments adhere to the guidelines for all formats.
• Work with the team to provide budget information and execute all applicable postal promotions.
• Invoice approvals with Delegation of Authority.

Qualifications:

 

• Bachelors with relevant industry experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED from accredited institute.
• 10+ years’ experience in direct mail and print production.
• Experience in print buying, budgeting, and expense management.
• Management experience within a direct mail production team.
• Prefer mix of supplier-side and client-side experience.

Salary range: 115,000 - 140,000 

Overtime eligible: Exempt 

Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes 

Sales bonus eligible: No
