Job Description

Clinical Psychologist

Introduction: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our healthcare team. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will provide psychological assessments, interventions, and therapy to individuals across diverse populations and age groups. Your expertise in diagnosing and treating mental health disorders, coupled with your ability to build therapeutic relationships, will play a crucial role in improving the well-being of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough psychological assessments to evaluate clients' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
  • Diagnose mental health disorders using standardized diagnostic criteria (e.g., DSM-5).
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings, clinical observations, and clients' goals.
  • Provide evidence-based psychological interventions, including individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy, to address a wide range of mental health concerns such as anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related disorders, and adjustment disorders.
  • Collaborate effectively with clients and their families, as well as other healthcare professionals (e.g., psychiatrists, social workers, counselors), to coordinate client care and treatment plans.
  • Monitor clients' progress through ongoing assessment and evaluation, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to achieve therapeutic goals.
  • Offer crisis intervention and support during acute psychological crises or emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
  • Stay current with advances in psychology research, therapeutic techniques, and ethical guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology from an accredited program.
  • Completion of an APA-accredited internship and supervised clinical experience.
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Psychologist.
  • Experience conducting psychological assessments and providing psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and/or families.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to apply evidence-based interventions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport and collaborate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to client care.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in psychological testing and assessment tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialized training or experience in a specific area of clinical psychology (e.g., cognitive-behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, child and adolescent psychology, geriatric psychology).
  • Previous experience working in a variety of clinical settings, such as healthcare facilities, community mental health centers, or private practice.
  • Knowledge of relevant healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
