Position Overview:

Join our innovative team as an Apparel Designer, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the HRC brand. This position offers a unique opportunity to unleash your creativity by developing cutting-edge designs for a diverse range of apparel items, including clothing and accessories. With a keen eye for aesthetics and a deep understanding of fashion trends, you will craft original designs that capture our brand's spirit and resonate with our target audience. Responsibilities:

  • Design Development:

o Develop sketches, illustrations, and technical drawings for new designs, ensuring alignment with the brand’s identity and target audience preferences.

o Create original designs for a range of apparel items, including clothing and accessories, as well as packaging

  • Material and Fabric Selection:

o Source and select appropriate fabrics, materials, and trims for designs.

o Work closely with suppliers to obtain high-quality materials within budget.

  • Prototyping and Sampling:

o Oversee the creation of prototypes and samples. Adjust designs based on feedback from the team and initial samples.

  • Technical Specifications:

o Create detailed technical packs with specifications for production. Ensure accuracy in measurements, construction details, and material specifications.

  • Collaboration:

o Collaborate with marketing and branding teams to ensure design coherence across all merchandise.

o Work with the operations team to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective, and with manufacturers to ensure product quality and accuracy.

  • Trend Analysis and Innovation:

o Conduct ongoing research on fashion trends, consumer preferences, and industry developments to inform design decisions.

o Integrate innovative design elements and sustainable practices into the apparel line.

  • Quality Control:

o Review and approve final samples before mass production. Ensure all products meet quality standards and brand expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in apparel design, preferably within a merchandise or fashion company.
  • Strong artistic ability and creativity.
  • Expertise in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD
  • Proficient in Technical Design / Tech Pack creation
  • Excellent understanding of garment construction, fabric types, and manufacturing processes
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for aesthetics and trends.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to apparel production.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to adapt to changes and evolving project requirements.
