Position Summary According to established policies and procedures, the Hemodynamic Technician in Surgery is responsible for troubleshooting anesthesia equipment, setting up A-lines, assisting with pre-procedure blocks and scrubbing in to assist with procedures. This position will offer appropriate training. This position will participate in a call rotation to include evenings, holidays and weekends. On call hours are based on departmental needs. This position reports to the director of surgical services for the totality of work performance.
Responsibilities - Maintain and troubleshoot anesthesia equipment
- Provide proper surgery positioning of patient
- Scrub in to assist with procedures on call and on weekends
- Assist with setting up A-lines and pre-procedure blocks
- Assist with the induction of children
- Properly clean rooms
- Order and stock supplies
- Transporting patients to and from the inpatient unit
- Effectively interact with hospital staff, offices, patients, families and guests
Requirements - Minimum requirement, high school diploma or GED
- Maintain CPR certification (HCP)
- Basic technical skills to provide equipment troubleshooting support within Anesthesia
- Ability to lift, push, pull or carry an average of more than one hundred (100) pounds consistently throughout the shift
- Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes
