Accounts Payable Clerk Job Description
We are seeking a part-time Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong numerical and data entry skills. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to begin their career in accounting and gain valuable experience in accounts payable processes.

What you’ll do as the Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk:

• Enter and maintain financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets
• Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial documents for accounts payable transactions
• Verify accuracy of invoices and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal departments
• Prepare and process payments to vendors, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and ensure proper documentation and filing
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing reports and assisting with audits
• Provide administrative support to the accounting department

What you’ll bring to the Part-Time Accounts Payable Clerk role:

• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
• Proficiency in data entry and MS Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in numerical data
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Prior experience in accounts payable or general accounting is required.
